Westborough ASP understands how important privacy is to our volunteers and donors. We are committed to protecting your privacy and want to make sure that you understand how your membership information is used. No personal information given by you will be rented, sold, or shared with any other company or organization for any reason.
What Information We Collect
When you sign up for the yearly mission trip, we ask for basic information such as your name, birthday, contact information and medical/food allergy details. In some cases we may ask for additional information for security reasons or to provide specific services to you.
When you access WestboroughASP.com from a computer, mobile phone or other device, we may collect information from that device about your browser type and the pages you visit. We use this site to keep track of your participation in the Westborough ASP program. Volunteers will be asked to sign-up for events and mark attendance at meetings.
We use "cookies" (small pieces of data we store for an extended period of time on your computer, mobile phone or other device) to make the site easier to use. For example, we use them to store your unique ID to display account details whenever you come back to the WestboroughASP.com site. You can remove or block cookies using the settings in your browser, but that will restrict your ability to use the WestboroughASP.com site. Logout of the site when you are done to ensure anyone with access to your computer, mobile phone or other device cannot view or edit your account details.
How We Use Your Information
We do not share your personal information with any other parties. Your personal details are only visible to registered group leaders who are logged into the WestboroughASP.com site. By providing us with your contact information and/or registering for our website, you may receive information from us about organizational news, additional volunteer opportunities, etc. If you do not wish to receive information from us, please let us know by submitting a request to support@westboroughasp.com.
Parental Participation
We strongly recommend that youth ask their parents for permission before sending any information about themselves to anyone over the Internet. We encourage parents to teach their children about safe Internet use practices.
SECURITY MEASURES IN PLACE TO PROTECT PERSONAL INFORMATION
We are concerned about the safety and security of your personal information which resides in a physically secured server facility. The WestboroughASP.com site employs a digital certificate and used Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol to encrypt all data being transmitted. SSL technology is the standard used by online banking, stock brokerages, and retailers for securing their online transactions.
Online Volunteer Registration
When you registered for the ASP trip online, we ask you to provide your name, address, city, state, zip code, phone number, email address and medical details. This information is used for the purpose of processing your registration, maintaining our volunteer participation records and keeping you safe on the trip.
TERMS OF USE
You agree, through your use of this site, that you will not post any material which is false, defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, adult material, or otherwise in violation of any International or United States Federal law. You also agree not to post any copyrighted material unless you own the copyright or you have written consent from the owner of the copyrighted material.
Note that it is unrealistic for the administrators of this site to confirm the validity of all posted comments. Please remember that we do not actively monitor posted comments, and as such, are not responsible for the content contained within. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any information presented. Posted comments express the views of the author, and not necessarily the views of Westborough ASP or associated churches. Anyone who feels that a posted message is objectionable is encouraged to notify the Westborough ASP steering committee immediately. Westborough ASP leadership reserves the right to remove objectionable content, within a reasonable time frame, if they determine that removal is necessary. This is a manual process, however, please realize that they may not be able to remove or edit particular messages immediately. This policy applies to member profile information as well.
With a registered account, you agree to never give your password to another person, for your protection and for validity reasons. You also agree to never use another person's registered account for any reason. We recommend you use a complex and unique password for your account, to prevent account theft.
After you register and login to this site, you will be able to sign-up for volunteer events. It is your responsibility to enter accurate information. Any information the site administrators determine to be inaccurate or vulgar in nature will be removed, with or without prior notice. Appropriate sanctions may be applicable. Please note that changes to site data are recorded by username, in the event that you need to be banned from this site. This will only happen in the event of a major violation of this agreement.
Also note that the site places a cookie, a text file containing bits of information (such as your username and password), in your browser's cache. This is only used to keep you logged in/out. The site does not collect or send any other form of information to your computer.
Westborough ASP leadership will assume members have read these terms and will not take ignorance of any rules as an excuse for not following the rules, policies, and guidelines outlined here and/or in our printed materials.
We reserve the right to modify and amend these terms at any time without notice. It is your responsibility to remain informed of current Westborough ASP policies. We further reserve our right to disable any account at any time for any reason and without notice. If there are any rules or policies you do not understand, please contact us. Finally, any abuse towards Westborough ASP members, in any form, will result in immediate suspension of your account.
